How is Lagree Fitness Method different than Pilates on the reformer?

Although Lagree Fitness Method is inspired by Pilates, it is not the same as Pilates.  The Lagree Method is based on principles of Pilates paired with cardiovascular elements to create a total body conditioning workout.  In Lagree Fitness, exercises are performed slowly to deeply engage the working muscles, and quick transitions between each move are encouraged to maintain cardiovascular intensity.  At sculpt50 you’ll get the benefits of strength training, cardio conditioning, and core strengthening all in one 50 minute class.

What should I expect at my first class?

For your first class, we ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes early for your instructor can give you an overview of the Megaformer and get you set up. If you aren't able to arrive 10 minutes early, your instructor may ask that you reschedule so he has the proper amount of time to get you ready.  This is for your safety.

If you have any injuries or you were recently or are currently pregnant, please inform your instructor before the start of class.

Though our classes are intense, our instructor will offer modifications to make you feel successful yet still challenged.  Class never gets easier but you will get better at it and get stronger with every class you attend!

What should I bring to class?

+ Grip socks are mandatory for safety and sanitary reasons.  We have grip socks available at the studio for purchase or you can bring your own athletic grip socks.  For your safety, hospital or fluffy winter socks are not proper athletic grip socks and cannot be worn during class.

+ We recommend wearing more form fitting workout attire as very loose clothing can be difficult to move in.  We also recommend that women wear knee length tights or longer.

+ Bring a hand towel - you're going to sweat!

+ We have a filtered water bottle station, and water for purchase

+ Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes or cologne

+ Please no cell phone use during class

+ Have fun and leave everything else behind.  This is your 50 minutes!

I am addicted to sculpt50 and this workout! How often should I work out?

We would love to see you daily, but we also believe in rest and recovery to get the most out of this workout. Our workouts are designed to work your muscles to fatigue, and your muscles can't change without proper rest. We recommend starting out at 2-3 times a week and working your way up to 3-4 times a week.

I'm pregnant. Can I do this work out?

For your safety, if you're pregnant and have never been to our studio before, we don't recommend that you start now.  Your safety is our priority and we only recommend that clients who have been regularly attending sculpt50 may continue working out with us with your doctor's consent.  As always, please consult your physician before starting any new fitness plans.

What if I’m running late?

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your class time. We are located directly above Tin Pot Creamery and facing Peet’s Coffee. We find that parking spaces by Sports Basement and Patxi’s are often available and provide the quickest way to get to the studio.

For your safety and the safety of other clients, we can't allow existing clients those who arrive more than 5 minutes after the start of class to attend. If you’re more than 5 minutes late, your spot will be given to the next person on the waitlist. For your safety and the safety of other clients, we can't allow new clients those who at the start of class to attend.

What if I can’t make it to class?

We ask that you kindly make any cancellations at least 12 hours from the start of class. You can do so by following the cancellation link in the confirmation email you initially received, or by logging in to your MindBody account. You must opt into receiving email notifications in order to receive confirmation emails and reminder emails.  Cancellations must be made through MindBody online or through the App. We do not accept any cancellations or rescheduling via telephone or email.

Late Cancel: Cancelations must be done via MindBody online or app, or through logging into our website. We do not accept cancelations by telephone or email. All group classes require 12 hour cancelation notice. You may cancel reserved classes for any reason without penalty up until 12 hours prior to the scheduled class by logging into your MindBody account to cancel. Rescheduling or canceling a reserved class after the 12-hour period is a late cancellation. Clients on a membership and/or class package, including the new client specials will forfeit the class. A late cancelation 30 minutes before the start of the class is considered a no-show. We require a valid credit card on file for late cancellation fees and no show fees.

No Show: A late cancelation 30 minutes before the start of class or no attendance without canceling the class is a No Show. Clients on a membership and/or class package including the new client specials will forfeit the class and incur a $25 no show fee. Due to COVID and for the safety and consideration of all clients, returning clients who arrive at the start of class will be refused entry and forfeit their spot to a waitlisted client. We require a valid credit card on file for late cancelation fees and no show fees.

Can I come to a later class if I late-cancelled or no-showed to an earlier class?

All late cancelation and no-show policies still apply.

If you have late-canceled or no-showed to an earlier class, you will need to purchase a class drop-in to attend the later class. If you are on a class package, we will deduct another class from your package for the later class.

How does the waitlist work?

The waitlist allows you to reserve a spot in the waitlist line if the class is full. If a spot opens up prior to the 12 hour cancellation window, you will be added to the class and receive an email confirmation. You are responsible for removing yourself from the waitlist if you find that you cannot attend the class. All of the cancellation penalties apply if you are added to the class and no-show.

Do you offer holds on memberships?

We offer holds only on monthly memberships and auto-renews for medical reasons, vacations, etc for a fee of $75. Email us at info@sculpt50.com if you need to put your monthly membership on hold.

Why are classes sometimes cancelled?

We reserve the right to cancel classes at any time for any reason.

The first class of the day is cancelled if there are no reservations 12 hours ahead of the class. For all other classes, classes are cancelled if there are no reservations 4 hours before the start of that class. We never want to cancel classes, and look forward to seeing all of you; please reserve your spot early!
